The EBRD has entered into a program to provide financing for Sisecam, Turkey’s largest glass production company. The program aims at enhancing and improving Sisecam’s capacity to reuse recycled glass (cullets). The production of furnace-ready cullets will have to be done by glass recycling companies.
The Bank decided to set up parallel projects with some of these recycling companies in order to professionalise their strategy, organisation, governance, financial sustainability and the quality of their operations. Özen Cam is one of the recyclers in this parallel program and assigned Hans Breukelman as senior advisor and Haluk Sardag as specialist to perform the support to them.
The program ran from September 2016 to December 2017 and provided the company with instruments, a well trained staff and an elaborated handbook dedicated to their situation.
